Social Calendar Annual Pool Operators of South Australia BBQ.
Sunday December 3, 2000 saw members of POSA enjoying themselves at the Payneham Swimming Centre (Adelaide). Thank you Vic de Fontenay, Warwick Abbott (Aqua Tune), Jock Kilgour(Metco), John Beasely (Beasely Pool Products), Ken Richter, Gordon Griff (Pool Operator at Balyana Conference Complex, Adelaide) and Adrian Johnson (Elite Chemicals) for their donation towards the day.Above photo is of (from left) Vic deFontenay, Warwick Abbott and Gordon Griff in relaxation mode Vic, Warwick and Adrian came along on the day, with there families, to enjoy a swim, some food and some refreshments. Thank you also to Lewis Carter (Manager Payneham Swimming Centre) for the use of the facilities and to the kiosk ladies for putting up with me delivering food and drink through their work area. It was a perfect summers day to sit around, have a drink and trade funny aquatic related stories (we all have plenty of them). This bbq was the first one that POSA has had. Everyone who attended had a good time and it was decided to have one every year before Christmas and to rotate the venue between swimming centres.
